StudentsFirst State Policy Report Card, 2013

The State Policy Report Card is a tool StudentsFirst used to grades all 50 states, plus the District of Columbia, on their education policy environments and whether they are student-centered and able to support reform. The goal of the tool was to make more people aware of the education policies in their states and generate discussion about what may need to change. The product was released in 2013 and updated in 2014.

Main Landing Page

The main landing page was designed to allow users a quick visual of the overall state of education policy of the Nation in an easy to read map. 

When users scroll over an individual state, a lightbox will appear providing users with additional options including viewing the state overview page, downloading the state 2-pager, or downloading the full report. 

 

Users also have the option of viewing the results by list. This list can be sorted by State or by Grade/Rank.

The State Overview page provides users with a quick summary of the overall findings for each state. Users can use the navigation tabs to navigate to the specific sections where they can access more details.
