slice of broadway
yum yum! we were feeling like going out to grab a bite to eat, swung by Dad's kitchen... decided not to wait 35-40 mins... ended up at slice of broadway. we were the only people there... which was a little weird but also nice since no lines or fussy people to deal with. anyways, we ordered the special and some wings. pizza turned out sooo good. the crust was both crispy and chewy, just the right amount of sauce and toppings. I'll definitely come back again
cafe roma, take 2
this has become a new favorite breakfast spot. the coffee is superb, food tasty and priced just right. :)

cinco de mayo bust
there was a cinco de mayo celebration (potluck style) in the office on Monday. I thought this would be the best opportunity to test out the piñata cookie recipe. I didn't have much time, so decided I'd make sugar cookies and decorate them vs a colorful donkey as seen in other blogs. boy, was that a mistake. my recipe was a flop (cookie too flat and too crispy) and the icing melted awkwardly and wouldn't set..
in the end, I had to scrap it all go to the store to pick up cookies.
