after bragging about how much leftovers i had wednesday night, I of course to forget to bring it in to work. go figure. luckily, i had stashed away some food and snacks and found a container of campbell's kettle style tomato & sweet basil soup (ooohhhhh). i have never tried this variety before, and thought, well, i'd either try it now or head back to old soul for some smell, i mean soup. i decided to try the campbell soup.
the verdict: it was goooood. the soup was well seasoned with black peppers and basil and had a nice creamy texture. the soup was also surprising filling. i only wished i had some bread or a side salad to go with it. i was a little annoyed because the instruction on the packaging said i couldn't heat the soup in its container (thus using the square dish seen above). later, i did go to their website and found out you can, in fact, microwave in that container. (i know, you're so excited for that news).
the other tidbit of information i found out was that the container actually had 2 servings - so buyer beware - at first glance, you may think it's only 260 calories for this generously sized container, but it is in fact 2 servings. anyways, in case anyone is interested - nutrition facts below.
